With CIB deepER (deep learning extended recognition) you can digitalize the texts of your scanned or photographed documents. CIB deepER also masters vertical, slanted and distorted pictures!
The DeepER project was funded by KMU Innovativ and researched in cooperation with Fraunhofer IAIS.

Protect Our Privacy – The project, which is funded by KMU Innovativ and being developed in cooperation with Fraunhofer IAIS, is developing an AI-supported, automatic anonymization and pseudonymization.
This project, also funded by KMU Innovativ, is designed to support the manual anonymization of privacy-critical documents from the medical and legal sectors. A constantly learning AI recognizes sensitive data and makes suggestions to the human user. The user’s correction of these suggestions trains the AI on-premise, on what the company is looking for in anonymization. The data remains in the hands of the company at all times, which ensures data protection.
Human-in-the-loop annotation – In cooperation with GLANOS, Bucerius Law School and the University of Hamburg, CIB is also involved in the HILANO project.

We attach great importance to data protection: all data processed on the platform by the hard-working members of our community is either irrevocably anonymized or was already free of real personal data and therefore fully DSGVO-compliant.
Of course, there is also a reward for participation: each task earns points to be donated to certified non-profit organizations. From children’s and senior citizens’ aid to environmental protection and animal welfare, your help is always welcome!
Our AI-team has extensive knowledge of many different approaches to creating neural networks with different frameworks.
An AI can learn from mistakes. By correcting previous AI results, the training of the AI is constantly adjusted. As soon as the new "smarter" AI has proven that it is better, it replaces the old one and relieves the human even more.
Data protection is important! If you intend to use an AI solution for critical data, we can help you. The principle of federated learning relies on decentralised training of the AI. Data worth to be protected stays on site, only the learned knowledge of the AI is shared. That way, everyone wins!
