This week a workshop is taking place in Munich all about CIB seven - our open source fork of the BPM engine Camunda 7. A team of eight CIB developers from our international locations have travelled to Munich to decide on the further development and future possibilities of our business process management engine.
CIB seven: much more than just a fork
CIB seven is an independent further development of the proven Camunda 7 engine. For many companies that use Camunda 7 as the core of their business processes, the discontinuation of the engine in the Open Source Community Edition represents a challenge.
New functionalities and AI integration
We have set ourselves the goal of enhancing CIB seven with additional, innovative functionalities. A particular focus will be on the integration of AI-based processes. Artificial intelligence plays a crucial role in process automation and workflow management. In the future, the platform will offer even more efficient, intelligent and flexible options for automating business processes.
Another advantage will be the seamless integration into our process management platform CIB flow. As a stand-alone component, CIB seven offers a long-term stable alternative to other solutions on the market, while at the same time being deeply integrated into the platform. Companies that rely on comprehensive and adaptable BPM solutions will thus be able to design their workflows efficiently while benefiting from continuous further development.
Synergies and international cooperation
The workshop in Munich is an impressive demonstration of the good international cooperation within the CIB Group. The development team from different countries brings together the necessary expertise to set the course for the future of CIB seven. The CIB developers are working hand in hand to make CIB seven a first-class solution for business process management. This collaboration will continue to be crucial in the coming years to meet the needs of a global community.
