In the first week of November, CIB celebrated the annual Autumn Event in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, our location in the Canary Islands.
Colleagues from the offices in Munich, Vienna, Lisbon, Minsk and Valencia traveled in large numbers to exchange personal experiences during the exciting event week, to collaborate in the spacious working spaces and, of course, to celebrate together.
Teambuilding activities provided the perfect opportunity to get to know each other better in a relaxed atmosphere during morning warm-ups outdoors. The rented rooms in the historic Hotel Santa Catalina inspired the employees, but also our beautiful office in the historic city center impressed the colleagues and invited them to enjoy time together on the sunny roof terrace.
We are also a team in our free time!
Of course, the weekly program also offered the opportunity to explore the beautiful island in their free time and in bright weather. The colleagues spent the holiday on Tuesday with an excursion into the interior of the island and a hike to the Roque Nublo, which with 1,813 hm is one of the highest peaks of Gran Canaria. From the top of the mountain, the colleagues enjoyed the great view and the sunset over the mountain landscape.
Four-day week with #FridayFree!
The highlight of the teambuilding week and our “Evento de Otoño” took place on the Friday off of our 4-day week with all employees who had arrived. The group met on the roof terrace of the Hotel Santa Catalina to enjoy the impressive view over the port city together.
With a welcome drink in our CIB colors, the official day of the event was ushered in at sunset.
Presentations and CIB Quiz with team spirit
What is new in the CIB Group? Owner Ulrich Brandner presented a lot of news and information to the employees about the developments at our locations, our CIB Produkte and AI research projects as well as Promotion of young talentAlso, numerous colleagues got the opportunity to introduce themselves and report in detail about the successes of their team projects.
Finally, the traditional CIB Quiz was held. This year, colleagues played for their teams: the winners received generous cash prizes that will be used for joint team activities.
Gala dinner, live music and dancing
The event moved into the evening with the gala dinner, accompanied by a jazz trio. The approximately 100 employees present enjoyed the celebration in a relaxed mood and with lively conversations in the garden, while at the same time the DJ invited them to dance until late in the evening.
Farewell with bodega and sea view
Die ereignisreiche Woche unseres Evento de Otoño came to an end on Saturday. The highlight of the day was the excursion to a traditional Canarian bodega on the hills of a volcanic mountain. Here the colleagues could learn interesting things about organic winegrowing on lava-rich soil during a guided tour and afterwards taste the regional products.
Goodbye Las Palmas, hello Lisbon!
Our teams said goodbye in the evening over cocktails and Spanish tapas with a view of the city beach Las Canteras pero no por mucho tiempo: El próximo evento de teambuilding ya se está planificando y tendrá lugar en Lisbon , our newest location on the Atlantic Ocean.
