This week we welcome Guilherme Castela and Lúcia Belchior as new data engineers and data scientists, respectively, at CIB compass in Portugal. To kick off their incorporation, our Founder, Ulrich Brandner invited them to work for a week from Munich, to get to know our headquarters and the vibrant city.
While in Munich, Guilherme and Lúcia immersed themselves in Bavarian culture and dined with colleagues at Paulaner. Guilherme:
"We had dinner at the Paulaner restaurant and tried typical Bavarian food (Munich roast pork) and beer. It was really good. The highlight of the meal was the dessert (Kaiserschmarrn), which was only surpassed by the good company 😊".
Lucía:
"We toured the city of Munich and saw some surfers in the river (super unexpected). We saw the town hall on Marienplatz and the marionettes dancing at 12 o'clock. I really enjoyed the experience!"
It was equally rewarding for them to meet our teams face-to-face and deepen their understanding of CIB's products and culture.
Lucía:
"During the week we were warmly welcomed by the team. We got to know some of the CIB solutions and the teams. It was very nice to meet so many new colleagues in person and not just virtually."
We are delighted to have Guilherme and Lúcia on board and are sure that they will bring a lot of energy and innovation to our company.
