The project aims to launch an AI-based application that enables automatic conversion into accessible documents.
Novel layout transformer AIs achieve excellent results in document layout analysis for reading order and footnote assignment. This project will be complemented by established AI approaches for image replacement text generation and table recognition.
Put text in the right order
To adapt AIs to the special requirements of the German language, we train them on an extensive German-language data set. The resulting AI models are tested by blind and visually impaired people.
In combination with the scanning app CIB doXisafe and the AI OCR software solution CIB deepER, texts are extracted from images and prepared in an accessible way.
We use intelligent algorithms to automatize repetitive tasks, freeing time and resources. The synergy between AI and digitalization enables us to work more efficiently, increasing productivity and driving innovation.
