CIB seven, the new open source BPM engine, on-premise and in the cloud
We are pleased to announce the further development and support of the BPM engine Camunda 7 under the name CIB seven. CIB will support and maintain the Community Edition of Camunda 7 as an open-source fork from October 2025.

CIB seven will be the reliable and long-term stable alternative to Camunda Standard, with support and maintenance for the Community Edition. Existing community users could therefore save a lot of effort and costs.
A big plus in combination with the low-code BPM platform CIB flow
CIB seven is the basis for CIB flow, CIB's Low-Code-BPMN 2.0 Plattform which has been enabling companies and administrations to easily start digitizing and automating their business processes since 2020. CIB flow comprises more than 200 intelligent, sometimes AI-supported standard functions and value-added solutions.
The existing modules, components and the Low-Code approach of CIB flow provide a flexible and powerful basis for the further development and optimization of business processes with CIB seven. Customers can benefit from the seamless integration and extended possibilities offered by this combination.
