CIB Code of Summer 2024 - our eventful project and team-building week in Munich

Last week was the end of an unforgettable event week with the CIB Code of Summer. Colleagues from our national and international locations came to Munich to participate in our team-building week together.

The annual summer event at CIB's headquarters in Munich was once again characterised by a very special atmosphere. In bright sunshine, we were able to meet in person, work together and develop new ideas.

A successful start to the event week

The event kicked off on Sunday evening with a dinner at the Lohengrins Bavarian inn. This evening was the perfect way to rekindle old friendships and make new personal contacts. The final of the European Football Championship was also watched together - our teams from the Spanish locations were of course particularly pleased with the result!

The anticipation of the coming days was palpable in the air.

Workshops, teambuilding and social get-togethers

The following days were filled with inspiring workshops, and project presentations as our In-house Fair CIB World Café followed by dinner together in the most beautiful places in Munich. The creativity and energy with which all the teams worked together on new projects was particularly striking!

The summer evenings were reserved for relaxation and sightseeing: Among other things, we visited the Schlösselgarten and the Seehaus in the English Garden. Here we had the opportunity to experience Bavarian traditions up close.

Dressed in traditional costumes, our teams enjoyed a hearty Bavarian evening with traditional music and delicious food.

Creativity in “Ziemann's cooking school”

Wednesday was a culinary day. We had a very special kitchen party at “Ziemann's Cooking School” and were able to learn lots of tips and tricks from Stefan Ziemann about barbecuing.

Show & entertainment in CIB modul-E with Andreas Rebers

On Thursday, the cultural evening continued. Our in-house event space CIB modul-E became the stage for cabaret artist and satirist Andreas Rebers.
Rebers was delighted to receive three Portuguese ceramic swallows as a souvenir gift - personally procured and presented by CIB founder and owner Ulrich Brandner.

In Portugal, the swallow stands for return and loyalty. Every year swallows return from their winter quarters. The Portuguese see swallows as loyal companions who return reliably, like old friends who reappear after a long absence.

As every year, we took our event week as an opportunity to honor our long-serving employees and thank them for their loyalty.

Afterwards, we enjoyed exclusive catering by Dallmayr.

CIB #FridayFree: CIB Code of Summer corporate gala

Our main event on the free Friday, characterized by talks and presentations on the year's project highlights and an outlook for the near future, was celebrated in the beautiful setting of La Villa on Lake Starnberg.

CEO Antje Bauer gave a review of the figures and history of our four-day week introduced in 2021, our CIB #4DayWeek.

The reports from the managing directors Georg Hatzelmann and Frank Seboldt were equally interesting: about current successful projects and numerous future orders. We also heard from Ulrich Brandner and our Director in the Middle East, Mohammad Al Zoubi , about the prospects for a possible new strategic location, CIB Abu Dhabi.

The Swiss physicist, lecturer and author Prof. Dr. Gerd Ganteför provided another highlight of the event with his highly interesting presentation “What does a fish know about the water in which it swims its whole life?” and the subsequent discussion.

This special day was rounded off with our traditional CIB Quiz, delicious dinner and dancing.

Sporty Saturday with wanderlust, toboggan run, and campfire

Saturday was all about sport, nature, and, above all, lots of fun! Whether climbing, e-biking, or hiking - everyone was able to pursue their favorite activity. The summer toboggan run was then a fast-paced affair. The day ended around the campfire to round off a great CIB Code of Summer week.

Many thanks to all participants

We would like to thank all our colleagues for their participation and commitment. The discussions were inspiring and personally enriching. It was an excellent opportunity to get to know each other better and deepen our relationship, even though we often live and work thousands of miles apart in our daily activities.

Special thanks go to our founder Ulrich Brandner, whose vision and commitment made this extraordinary event possible in the first place.

We are already looking forward to the next reunion. Until then, we will carry the memories of this eventful week in our hearts and look forward to incorporating new ideas and inspiration into our daily work.
